A Lifelong Commitment to Gentleness

When I was 9 years old, I had a terrifying experience at the dentist. That experience made me vow to become the most gentle dentist in the world. My passion to reach my goal helped me finish college in two and a half years and dental school in three and a half years.

When I was in dental school, one of my professors told me that my greatest challenge as a dentist would be to keep my care gentle, so no one would be afraid of the smile care they needed. I have devoted my career to doing just that. In fact I am proud to say that I am able to make my patients so comfortable that most of them actually fall asleep in the chair during treatment.

Even other dentists refer me their more sensitive patients.

Nothing has been more rewarding to me all these years than being able to better my patients' lives by beautifying their smile. We all know the tremendous positive effect of a beautiful smile on our self esteem, our love life, and our careers. Unlike many other dentists, I was not satisfied with just the standard. I wanted my patients to achieve results beyond belief. My relentless search leads me to discover ways to take Cosmetic Dentistry to almost miraculous levels.

For example, many patients have tried all kinds of teeth whitening procedures but have been disappointed with either the result or the pain they had to endure going through the process. However, by trying my "Deep Whitening" treatment they have found that they were able to achieve long lasting phenomenal results without the pain.

Another example is the additional dimension that Orthodontics add to the Cosmetic Treatment, which many other dentists have no clue about, or the extensive knowledge in the subject of Full Mouth Reconstruction and Makeover, and so on...

Beautifying Smiles with an Artist's Eye

When you visit me, notice the landscape photographs around my office. I am proud to say that they are my work. As a weekend photographer, I not only get to enjoy the great outdoors with my family, I also get to refine my artist's eye. So when I look at your smile, I can envision how beautiful it could look...so I can make that vision a reality.

Credentials
A graduate of Loma Linda University, rated first in nation, Dr Makhoul is a member in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Society, and the International Association of Orthodontics.

Dr Makhoul has practiced in Mission Viejo since 1983 with great emphasis in Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics. He has been interviewed by the Register, on Radio, and on TV. In addition He has authored many articles in the papers and magazines on the subject of General Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics.

In 1985, Dr Makhoul initiated the I/D drive for children in Orange County and was instrumental in assisting the missing child programs publicity awareness efforts for parents.

Dr Makhoul's biggest reputation, though, is his gentle touch.
